The German Research Foundation (DFG) and the "Stifterverband" award this year's "Communicator-Preis" to BMS Vice-Chairman Günter M. Ziegler for his outstanding achievements in communicating his research with the public. The jury acknowledges his successful efforts to paint a new, fresh picture of Mathematics.
