BMS PhD Application Guidelines - for all you need to know about applying to the BMS
First download our BMS PhD Application Guidelines and read them thoroughly before beginning the online application process. You will find the answers to your questions in there, or in our FAQs, or here on our website.
Students entering Phase I of the BMS are expected to have a bachelor degree, or equivalent. (Thus, in particular, Berlin mathematics students in their "Hauptstudium" can apply for membership in BMS. For students who are further advanced, part of the Phase I course requirements may be waived.)
For entering Phase II, students are expected to have a master degree, or to pass the BMS Qualifying Exams. (In particular, they thus satisfy the regular admission requirements of the Berlin universities' PhD programs.)
For more information about our requirements, please read our FAQs.
A detailed description of all documents required to apply can be found in our BMS PhD Application Guidelines.
The BMS TOEFL code is 2593 and we also accept IELTS.
