BMS Summer School 2010:

Discretization in Geometry and Dynamics,

September 20 - October 1, 2010

at TU Berlin

The summer school will give an introduction to Discretization in Geometry and Dynamics and to explore the latest developments.

Topics range from integrable discretizations, polyhedra and tilings to symplectic and variational integrators, discretization artefacts and applications.

It is aimed primarily at graduate students in mathematics. Furthermore, postdoctoral and young researchers are encouraged to attend. For participants with children of up to 6 years, there will be day care opportunities.

More detailed information about the schedule will be available in early summer 2010.

Online registration is now ongoing until 30 June 2010. Applications have to include a letter of interest, CV and one recommendation letter. The BMS offers subsidiary financial support to selected participants to cover travel and accommodation costs.
