What is the type of degree I will be conferred from BMS if I complete phase 1 ? |

Typically, there is NO degree at the end of Phase I, only a certificate that the oral "Qualifying Exam" has been passed, which also means admission to the Phase II dissertation phase.
However, there is also the option to complete a regular Master degree at this point -- all the BMS courses should count for this, but for a M.Sc. a master's thesis is required. Your supervisor will advise you.
