IMU Berlin Einstein Foundation Program

On the occasion of the establishment of the secretariat of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) at the Weierstraß Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) in Berlin, the Einstein Stiftung Berlin (ESB) has given a grant to the Berlin Mathematical School (BMS) to support mathematics. The focus of the grant program, called IMU Berlin Einstein Foundation Program (EFP), is the increase of interactions of young mathematicians from developing and economically disadvantaged countries with the lively mathematical environment in Berlin.

The EFP is administered by the EFP program committee. Its members are appointed by the BMS and represent the Berlin mathematics institutions, the ESB, the German Math Society and the IMU. The program committee determines the overall strategy of the EFP activities and decides about the allocation of the funds.

Funding for the IMU Berlin Einstein Foundation Program (EFP) will end in 2014. Hence applications will only be accepted until 31st March 2014!

Applications are invited for research visits to Berlin lasting from three to nine months. For detailed information please visit the fellowships-site.
