BMS Mini Course in Statistical Mechanics

Random walks in random environment and dynamics of spin glasses (Jiri Cerny, University of Vienna)
10 - 12 April 2012
Lectures:   Tue - Thu 16:15 - 17:45
Location:   TU Berlin, Math Building, room MA 748

Abstract: In the last decade great progress was made in understanding of random walks in random media and of dynamics of spin glasses. On one side, we have seen many new limit theorems and bounds on transition probabilities. On the other side, the aging phenomenon was understood in many situations. The mini course will survey these results, explain their relations, and present the main ideas in proving them.
